Vineyard Community Church's Purpose Statement

Our purpose statement reads like this:

Our purpose is to BLESS God, by worshipping Him as our heavenly father, to BRING people to faith in his Son, Jesus, and to BUILD them up into mature disciples of Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

This statement reflects both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.

The Great Commandment reads,
" 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' ... 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22:37-40

The Great Commission reads,
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20
